Dear all Mentors & ABC4All Team,

Greetings from JUSCITREAL HOUSE,

I don’t hesitate to tell you that I am glad for all the achievements during the execution of 2010 community services in Burundi. Thus I am here now to wish you good transition into 2011 year and to introduce you the Burundi Campaign:

LIVEWATCH - WATCH OUT WORLD! FOREVER Campaign for Global Humanitarian Relief, Africa, Burundi.

Indeed, the African community, especially in Burundi, we see the regular practice of traditional and contemporary arts, culture, music, video and film programs. Here we have RADIO HINDURA-YOUTH SERVICE TELEVISION CLUB (RHYST), supported by JUSCITREAL HOUSE and donors. Our evaluation shows improvement of lives and places in Burundi.

Our current challenges are:

1) BRINGING SAFE DRINKING WATER & PRESERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT AS WELL AS FOOD SECURITY.

2) LEADERSHIP AND SHORTAGE OF START-UP FUNDS TO DO SMALL BUSINESS TO SUSTAIN A FAMILY, A COMMUNITY AND INDIVIDUAL.

3) EVERY MINUTE, DAY, WEEK, MONTH AND YEAR PEOPLE DIE FROM DISEASES, FROM THE LACK OF SAFE DRINKING WATER, LACK OF MEDICATIONS, HUNGER, MALARIA, TB, HIV/AIDS, HEART DISEASES AND OTHERS IN BURUNDI.

4) REDUCTION OF HIGH RATES OF SCHOOL DROP-OUT COLLEGE AND HIGHER SCHOOLS /UNIVERSITY OF AFRICA. HERE WE FOCUS ON CLUB ACTIVITIES TO INVOLVE STUDENTS, ORPHANS AND WOMEN AND YOUTH IN ARTS, MUSIC, FILM PROGRAMS, MICROFINANCE AND ICTS EDUCATION.

5) BRING ENTERTAINMENT MEDIA AT HOME TO RAISE A VOICE IN THE FORM OF IMAGE & SOUND to spread the world for relief campaigns, make up artists, entrepreneurs, clothing & hair stylists, farmers, workers in hotel/food & drinking services, for people and communities to be seen, heard, and involved in making better their community/world.

ABC4All Mentors of Burundi, a country in heart of Africa, which has suffered from civil war for many years, especially 1993-2005, are searching for alternatives to bring WELL WATER, SHELTER, FOOD, BETTER HOUSING CONDITIONS, BUSINESS & EDUCATION LOANS, AND HEALING

services to people. These programs help to reduce the stress level, increase flexibility, restore our hearts, minds, improve thinking skills and knowledge as well as provide connection with others. In this message I tell you how children helped us to FIND OUT a suitable program “LIVES WATCH” CINEMA ROOM FOR FILM PROJECTION, VIDEO, MUSIC & ARTS entertainment program is right for us.

LIVE WATCH CAN CHANGE THE WORLD starting here in Burundi. We can encourage buying a card to support relief and gathering people to work together across a community, country and across nations. Collected resources, materials, items will help to build community infrastructures, ICTs, Skills, bring WELL WATER, FOOD SECURITY, ENTERPRENEURSHIP BUSINESS LOANS, medias all part of what will help people in need.

On recent days, children supported by JUSCITREAL HOUSE meet regularly in a meeting room here in Burundi. They share ideas AROUND TEA, discussing ways to alleviate inflexibility, alleviate back pain, maybe other methods are not available and /or failed. But at the end of the year 2010, children preferred to change the place, and they suggested visiting A CYBER INTERNET CAFÉ along with a supervisor where they had access to LIVE VIDEO CHANNELS just behind a screen for A LIVE WATCH of music videos or preferred films for kids or other programs such as CARTOONS….

At this link you can see suggestions of children (add a link). We learnt that children are creative, intelligent, library of today people and the next generation. They have thoughts about the feature, have great dreams to change the world. Therefore the team in JUSCITREAL HOUSE program-RADIO HINDURA YOUTH SERVICE TELEVISION CLUB- (RHYST) has decided to meet and set up:  LIVEWATCH: SAFICINEMA ROOM.

This room will be a way to let children, youth, adults, men, and women meet, share dialogue to find solutions or become creative and active in finding solutions of the problems in their families, household, community and country.

We received suggestions that the Room should be a MULTI-PURPOSE WIDE SPACE for community meetings and development programs including WATCH OUT WORLD! Medias, live projection of films, ARTS ENTERTAINMENT (competitions in music, video, film) and other programs. Attached to the CINEMA ROOM will be the multipurpose ARTS & CULTURE, SPORT & HEALTH activities. It would be used as

(i) a forum for discussion of issues affecting the communities and implementation of decisions;

(ii) for Women Empowerment Programs – forum, conference-competition-church session-film project-Education and training would be provided to help women improve on their existing marketable skills and they would in turn use their collective skills and numbers to promote e-business;

(iii) to show films and videos and have expertise in relevant areas educate the community on their own identified development issues.

(iv) Finally the multi-purpose space would also be managed as a business – rented out for social activities in the community and to share with other communities. The income would be used to help sustain the center and support children in areas of education, business loans, education loans, etc.

I personally think LIVEWATCH is important for many African countries, but in Burundi it is a priority. We really need your support. Please help us to reach to our plan for Local ABC4All / Burundi that includes potentially 9 million people in Burundi who can decide if they wish to participate in developing and experiencing the REWARDS and BENEFITS that will become available soon.

We can help HEAL AND ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO BUILD A BETTER WORLD VIA A CARD WHICH IS AIMED AT SUPPORTING PEOPLE IN NEED by joining the LIVEWATCH ROOM to meet and watch educational film and videos.

Remember that we have to do something important in our life that will bring Plasma Activated Water (PAW) technology to where it is needed most in the world, especially in Burundi as we have set up an AGENDA FOR: 11.11.11. at 11h 11min.

Therefore I invite donors, business investors, computer companies, telecommunications and clothing industries, shoes societies, game industry and mobile societies to support JUSCITREAL HOUSE project by making a donation of:

-Mobile technologies and materials,

-Computer items and their accessories (even used but in good health to function)

-Electrical products and materials,

-Digital products, materials,

-Clothes, shoes,…

-Other various materials, even OLD OR USED.

We have room to STOCK THEM and distribute to larger poor groups and sell them at very affordable prices to generate money to build the community, JUSCITREAL WORLD BURUNDI, AFRICA. (WATCH JUSCITREAL HOUSE VIDEO).

My particular invitation is sent to the VIDEO CHAINS SUPPLIERS to join our continual initiative to bring entertainment at home in Burundi, in Africa. We to CREATE YOUTH SERVICE CHANNEL TELEVISION or SUPPLY HUMANITARIAN CHANNELS IN HOUSES OF BURUNDI, AFRICA, by starting to collect resources and meeting people to watch live world medias.

LIVEWATCH ROOM SUSTAINABILITY:

Youth and adult/Poor want to become self-sustained ENTERPRENEURS. The CINEMA ROOM MULTI-PURPOSE SPACE will be unique program in Africa (Burundi …), because it is self sustaining. The pilot phase of the projects would need to be fully supported by external funding. By which time, income would have been generated to reduce reliance on external funding from the following activities:

• Multi-purpose space managed as a business

• Fees from entertainment (videos, music, theaters, films)

• Information and technology section will provide services such as telephone, photocopying, faxes, printing and e-mail

• High school students who weren’t accepted to universities would be trained in data processing to perform outsource work and % of fees to be paid to the centre

• Nominal fees for non-community members for the use of library facilities

• Students and teachers who have been trained would volunteer some time to help other children with the use of the library

• Basic technology training thus reducing the cost for training more staff assistance from local NGOs

• Recruit Burundians in the Diaspora to sponsor CINEMA ROOM MULTI-PURPOSE SPACE, JUSCITREAL HOUSE in their communities

OTHER ACTIVITIES IN LIVEWATCH, SAFICINAMA ROOM

Training Teachers: Initially there will be monthly workshops to reorient the teachers in the purpose, use, and incorporation of the library into the school curriculum. Training will also focus on enhancing teachers business and literacy training methodologies and skills in using the JUSCITREAL HOUSE MULTIPURPOSE ROOM LIVEWATCH centre, library materials for literacy training, and on introducing them to basics of computers and technology.

Training Youth in the Use of SAFICINAMA ROOM and Computers: Students would learn how to use the library, find books, handle information and use reference materials properly as well as understanding their roles and responsibilities within the Center. The Center will conduct BI-weekly training for students on computers, data entry programs and the use of the Internet through hands-on and demonstrations. Promoting Reading Culture: The promotion will be carried out on a monthly basis and would comprise reading and writing competitions, storytelling, and awarding prizes to winners. The objective of the promotion is to raise awareness of the importance of life- long learning instills a love for reading and encourage students to visit and use the library.

Mobile Libraries: Reading material, videos and films will be made available to nearby villages and towns who may not have access to the main library.

Women Empowerment Programs: In order to ensure that the women’s empowerment program meets the local needs, the center will carry out a needs assessment to establish an appropriate program. But there would be initial programs such as health and sanitation, personal hygiene, parenting and governance. There would also be a mobilization of women with a view to strengthening stakeholder involvement and the identification of the key entrepreneurial and social development issues to be integrated into the information communication and technology training packages.

Community Mobilization for Other Development Activities: Since the rural economies are based on agriculture, information and technology should be used to enhance economic development. This will be done using the multipurpose space to train, discuss, make available innovation, show films and videos and get expertise in relevant areas to educate the community about their own identified development issues. Development of training program for cassette library and broadcasting: To equip the community with the skills for this program, members would be provided with training to assist with the collection of data for this purpose. They would also be trained to help develop awareness raising programs.

VOLUNTEERS IN LIVEWATCH

Imagine, in LIVEWATCH SAFICINAMA ROOM you can find:

• Personal attention

• Small classes

• A caring environment

• Qualified instruction

While we draw from all forms of audio music, video, film, the program is much appreciated by several categories of people including adults, women, youth and children and they want to visit the centre.

Our volunteer, MPAWENAYO Pierre Celestin, is the main caretaker of orphans and various vulnerable groups. So there will be larger numbers of perople for whom care is needed. Lewis NIYONKURU is also a trainer in Photography program.

Jean-Claude KAMWENUBUSA is also helping to develop vision, train a number of artists on video and arts (video music, basic skills in film, designing and computer skills). Another important issue is that we have found that RADIO HINDURA YOUTH SERVICE TELEVISION CLUB (RHYST), has a great impact:

1) MEMBERSHIP:

We have received 27 applicants to become members of the club since November 2010. Some of them have deposed their MP3, music videos and Film. This testifies that the RADIO HINDURA YOUTH SERVICE TELEVISION (CLUB) which gives priority to JEANCKA SCHOOL to support orphans and other vulnerable children in Africa by starting in Burundi, imparting Livelihood Skills to Youth by Setting up an Entrepreneurial Business in Vocational Trades. Because we found out that the programs of the club are the most attractive to our city and result in positive impact on individuals, community and country and because it is necessary to

-CLARIFY CONDITIONS TO OBTAIN MEMBERSHIP CARD.

-STEPS TO BECOME MEMBER OF THE CLUB

-APPLICABLE LAWS

-APPROPRIATE CONDUCT

-PROCEDURES FOR PARTICIPATION

-DATA PROTECTION AND USE OF SERVICES

RESULTS:

Collected resources will be used to build two classes, bring water technologies, build JUSCITREAL HOUSE, YOUTH CENTRE, RADIO HINDURA, VIDEO CHANNEL TV ENTERTAINMENT MEDIA and launch microloans to 100 rural young/women & entrepreneurs.

1. PROBLEMS:

It has been argued that the poor state of people in rural and urban of Africa, especially in Burundi is significant because of lack of information, communication and technologies (ICTs) and lack of access to well water, Arts entertainment medias, financial resource to fund secondary and university studies, skills to improve agriculture sector and business start-up funds to launch one’s own small business viewed as livelihood. income generation activity. Furthermore, the problem of Orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) is a worldwide one. In Burundi, the problem became more visible in 1993 and has been growing due to various problems including poverty, civil wars, family breakdown, poor parenting and child abandonment. The situation has been made worse by the HIV/AIDS pandemic, TB, Malaria and high levels of poverty (more than 60% live on less than $2.00 a day) as well as the lack of fundamental human’s needs such as:

1) Safedrinking water

2) Food,

3) Shelter

4) Someone to care

5) Sponsorship to complete primary education by college and university

studies at the Bachelor, master and doctorate levels

6) Communication and transportation facilities for a large percentage of orphans and disadvantaged groups in this country.

According to the groups advocating for national Orphans and other Vulnerable Children Policy in 2009, many orphan poor young and children drop out of school, are forced to live on the streets or under exploitative conditions of labour, sexual abuse, prostitution and other forms of abuse. Many live in child-headed households where they have to fend for themselves and support their younger siblings. Radio HINDURA as a Youth Service Television club, was started early by Young African Leaders (YAL), who are also mentors of the Global Grassroots Alliance of A Better Community For All (ABC4All) and country coordinators for the Network of African Youth for Development

(NAYD-Burundi) and Co-Founder of ICOTEREAL WORLD, the foundation under development for over 4 years, Jean-Claude KAMWENUBUSA. This creates the possibility for the above FOUR main networks (ABC4All), (NAYD), (YAL) and (ICOTEREAL WORLD) to put energy together and create resources for Youth Services for peace and development in Africa and anywhere in the world. We offer opportunities for young entrepreneurs with microfinance and ICTs education. We start by spreading the world through music, film and arts entertainment in a club called RADIO HINDURA, YOUTH

SERVICE TELEVISION CLUB.

Supported by ABC4All and its valuable contributors, we strive to bring what community and people need in Africa by fundraising and raising our voices in the FOREVER CAMPAIGH FOR GLOBAL HUMANITARIAN RELIEF (FCGHR).

LIVEWATCH project is promising to solve above problems. With the support of cooperating parties for basic materials (CAMERAS, PROJECTORS, ARCHITECTS, DESIGNERS OF CONTRUCTION PLANS TO BUILD ONE SINGLE WIDE ENTERTAINMENT ROOM AND OTHERS). Now we offer services into rented rooms and we strive to collect money in JUSCITREAL HOUSE. Support for our services so we are all working towards A BETTER WORLD FOR YOU AND ME.
